Letting agent not responding to emails regarding repairs

I am renting a property (sole tenant) in England, 12 month AST.
We have a few issues with the house, one of which is damp caused by a leak in the roof.
The property is managed by a letting agent, on behalf of a landlord. They have said that the landlord does not want to fix the roof, and have not responded to my emails now for a whole month (I've sent three in that time). What do I do next?
I have already reported this to the council. I cannot get the landlord's details as the letting agent won't provide any (I know they should, but I have asked several times and they always say no).
Do I write a complaint to the letting agent, should I report them to a redress scheme?

Have you reported the issues in writing (eg letter, stamp) ?0

Yes!
Letters, emails, I've stopped phonecalls as found they were agreeing to things and then denying the conversation ever took place.
I have not sent a letter to the landlord as I have no address.0 -
Everything you need to know is here:
https://england.shelter.org.uk/housing_advice/repairs/what_to_do_if_your_landlord_wont_do_repairs
including the LA refusing to give you the LL's contact details.
But look on your tenancy agreement. There should be the name and address of your LL there, even if it is c/o the LA. Copy letters to LL using this address.0 -
What is wrong with the roof0

Make sure you point out to your LA Section 1 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985.

If they still don't reply then report them to whichever redress scheme they use.0 -

I'm wondering if it's best to leave the bold part out, when they refuse or don't reply within 21 days report them and hopefully they will be fined.0 -
I'm surprised it's not been suggested yet, but you can get your LL's address from the landregistry. Costs approx £3.
I too have lived in a house with damp caused by holes in the roof and it's a nightmare. Hope you get sorted.0 -

Thank you.
I have done this, and the property is registered to a company overseas, which despite investigating at length, I can't find any information about!0 -
