Savings account from Germany

Hello together,
does anyone know of a bank where I can open a savings account, naturally with the highest possible interest rate, where I don't require an English current account since I live in Germany.
At the present time my parents (both in there 70's) are running a savings account for me, but it means transferring money onto their account and then onto the savings account, (which doesn't always work out as planned) and should anything happen to them I will probably lose a lot of my money to the tax man!.
I am hoping to move back to England in a few years, and since the English bank interest rates are generally double as high as those in Germany (averaging between 3 and 3,6% at the moment), I would prefer to have my savings growing there.
Anyone got any ideas!
