So I got pulled for speeding on 21/03/17 and have received a SJPN in the post dated 29/09/17. I have read elsewhere that there is a 6 month time limit to be notified of any proceedings. If this deemed to be the date of posting? Thus they are just outside of this 6 month period?

Another factor in this is that the officer actually recorded on the ticket the incorrect speed. He wrote 30 as my speed (in a 30 zone). However there is a second statement from the officer dated 22/09/17 (outside of 6 months) in which he corrects the speed.

I completely admit my guilt for this case as I was definitely speeding however is there a case to appeal that they have not fully complied with procedures for this?

Any advise ould be welcome

Thanks
Kieron

It is never quite as simple as '6 months' and speeding questions are best addressed over on this forum:

However, watch your timings on this and get an answer quickly, and please note that forum doesn't seem to like Hotmail email addresses when you try and sign up.

If this deemed to be the date of posting? Thus they are just outside of this 6 month period? Possible but unlikely.
