FlexDirect and POA

Hi I have POA for my mother and in August we upgraded one of her Nationwide Flex accounts to a FlexDirect.
My year of non FlexDirect is just up and wanted to know the exact date when I can upgrade again, so contacted Nationwide via online messages.
I have received a message back saying that because my mother has a FlexDirect account earning 5% I no longer qualify for 5% until a year after hers has finished.
We have separate accounts and log ins... no joint accounts what so ever.
and all the money in her accounts is hers
Has anyone else had the same problem.

This simply doesn't make sense.

Have you tried the PoA help desk?0 -
Just wondering whether you are recorded as a joint account holder and not just POA?0

Definitely not joint account holders.
The letter confirming the account opening only had my mothers name on it although it came to my address. (My request to have N'wide mail and statements sent to my home as mum has Alzheimer's and finds too much info distressing)
I think I will have to phone the POA help desk tomorrow - thanks for the suggestion, xylophone.
