Quite out of touch with whats available so looking for input from those who do.
After a music player for the kitchen. I think im essentially after the sonos system but the gearbest version (they cant be that expensive now shirley!?). Ideally something thats works well enough otherwise i can do without.
Got some music on computer but the bulk we listen to comes from spotify. And we have apple and android phones. Would like to be able to control whats playing through phones and ideally take advantage of spotify somehow?!
Hopefully something that can be added to. eg a device in the living room, bathroom etc.
Any ideas or am i going to need £200?

I think you're going to need £200 since you want an integrated, expandable system.
I have such a system, I chose Raumfeld over Sonos. At the time they were a bit more expensive but unlike Sonos they supported 5GHz WiFi (essential where I live) and had Ethernet sockets in addition to WiFi. They're app-controlled, integrate with Spotify (you need Premium) and they also support Chromecast Audio. I have one of these in my kitchen, it's water-resistant:

Discount codes are usually available, either by signing up for the newsletter or by registering and adding items to basket but not completing the purchase (keep an eye on your inbox).
Google Home and Amazon Echo are probably worth looking at too, if you don't mind having an always-on microphone in your kitchen...0
