Carers Allowance - Working Week Start Day?

Hi all
Anyone know when the DWP term as the start of a working week when looking at your earnings for CA?
Wife is soon to start work doing a 5hr shift every other Sat & Sun (plus extra hours midweek here and there).
Her employers week starts on a Sun, so if she works on a Sun, she'll be off the following Sat, then the next week she'll be off the Sun, but work the following Sat. So she only works a single 5hr shift per employers week.
If a DWP week is Mon-Sun, then they'll say she works 10hrs one week and none the next, which will play havoc with her earnings allowance for CA, unless we can convince them it's a regular pattern, or they calculate it monthl instead, as she'll be paid monthly.
So when does a DWP week start?
Thanks
Brighty

I’d imagine it would depend on the employers working week that she’s paid based on. My employers week starts on a Sunday.0

Carers Allowance is paid in advance on a Monday so the benefit week is Monday to the next Sunday
If the benefit is ESA for example that's paid in Arrears and the payday was say Monday, then they use the previous Tuesday to the Monday.0 -
CA benefit week is Monday to Sunday, if I had to guess, I would say they would use this. But I don't know the answer to your question.0
