[FONT=Verdana, sans-serif]The one big thing that is not compatible in OpenOffice and I presume LibreOffice as well, are macros which in MS Office are written in VBA and in OO/LO in some other language.

And sadly lots and lots of small things too.
Open / Libra Office are fine if you work in isolation or only have the most basic needs. However if you need to interact with the rest of the world, use templates that have been created on the real thing etc etc, then you are bound to run into a load of hassle.0 -
Google docs if you still have a supported web browser or better still get a Chromebook.
