Painted on plasterboard - now residual paint on walls?!

Hi,
Went round the house and touched up all the walls that had marks on with the Exact paint the decorators used when they painted the plasterboard walls in our new build.
Now on the surface it has left a chalk type paint so when anybody brushes up against the wall it leaves a mark on clothes.

I've read that I maybe need to dilute the paint before applying?

Any advice would be great!

I don't think anyone can comment on this because you have given no details of the paint used, but it's not normal to dilute paint, except for the first coat on new plaster, when a non-vinyl should be used.

Which paint? Brand and type?

How long ago were the walls plastered?

Have you tried brushing the walls to remove this "chalk like" residue?
