Unfortunately it says in their terms they can alter the plans with 60 days notice. How long ago did you buy your printer? Mine is now about 18 months old and I got the same email as you.ants121 said:Received this email from hp instant ink yesterday"On 07 December 2020, your 15 page plan will automatically convert to the 15 page plan shown below and you will automatically be able to roll over unused pages for more flexibility. I’ve had the same email. Obviously us light users are not profitable enough. If anyone finds a better deal, including original printer price, do let us know!2

Also very cross at their change of plan. The printing I have done so far is multiple unwanted copies of how to connect which has become ‘impossible’ since BT changed my router. Now got a very sore place on forehead form bashing on wall. Unable to get advice from the bot which sends you in circles & no way of contacting a human. Any advice out there?1

change your default printer to 'print to PDF' instead of you HP printer then delete all the pdfs. Regarding the free print plan, a business cannot make money by giving stuff away free forever, 99p is £12 a year probably less than half the price of a cartridge, its probably still the cheapest way for low usage printers.2muchfun said:Also very cross at their change of plan. I've came online this evening for the exact same reason. I received the email a couple of days ago, and the new price plan kicks in on 02/01/2021. I was quite happy with the 15 page free plan as I rarely print. Never thought they might start charging!ants121 said:Received this email from hp instant ink yesterday"On 07 December 2020, your 15 page plan will automatically convert to the 15 page plan shown below and you will automatically be able to roll over unused pages for more flexibility. I'd like to know if 99p is competitive enough or are there better deals out there."...and in the end, the love you take, is equal to the love you make".0 -

I originally got the email that my plan would be charged but look what Santa at HP sent me in email this morning.Dear xxxx,
We previously notified you that the plan for your OfficeJet xxxx would be changing, but as a valued customer, you can now continue printing up to 15 pages/month at no charge for the life of your printer.
We understand that printing at home is essential in today’s world, and hope that your HP Instant Ink plan will continue to make life a little easier for you.

I received the same email this morning. Maybe it was bad PR on HPs part that caused the change of heart.sho_me_da_money said:I originally got the email that my plan would be charged but look what Santa at HP sent me in email this morning.Dear xxxx,

Yup, I received this too. They've obviously thought twice about charging us. Good times.sho_me_da_money said:I originally got the email that my plan would be charged but look what Santa at HP sent me in email this morning.Dear xxxx,

This was exactly what I told HP when I contacted their customer support about this proposal. This was only going to end badly for them.
You're welcome
Feel sorry for anyone that responded to the original email by upgrading to a paid plan though.0
