Well it seems I will not be getting an increase in hb. Thank you for all your advice

It is because of the benefit cap. I'm on the verge of eviction as I am so far behind.

You need to apply for a Discretionary Housing Payment to cover your arrears.

CAB would help you complete this form if you need help.

Once you have your PIP decision letter don't forget to inform the council and Income Support that you are now receiving PIP.

Also. make sure you inform your landlord that you are applying for a DHP.

Is it a private landlord or social housing?

Have you received any letters from your landlord about your rent arrears?
