Hi all,
If had news today that my PPI claims (6 of them) with shop direct are being UPHELD :T
However I don't quite understand the letter & need some help
It says they will calculate my redress (I don't know what this means) and put me back to the financial position I was in before the PPI was misold, as iv got in debt due to this, by not being covered when I thought should of been. And it's destroyed my credit profile for years.
What is redress exactly? Like what does it include ?
Thank you for any help!

It's a refund of premiums, plus interest.0
-
It also says it will refund interested charges.
How do they work out interest and charges if the account is closed?
And will they now remove from my credit profile?0 -
They work out the interest based on your premiums and time over which you paid them.
No change will be made to your credit files. PPI does not appear on them in any case0 -
No but i mean the account went into default because i wasnt covered so will they not adjust that0
-
No. You would have defaulted with or without the PPI.0
