DRP taking me to court. PLEASE HELP

Hi guys.
I know this is probably brought up on this site many time but I am struggling to find the answers that I need to make my decision.
I was issued a parking charge due to the fact that I was parked in my university car park (which is only accessed by students with parking permits), but parked over yellow lines. I was not obstructing any other cars, and others have done it before. I explained to them that my car broke down and that some people had to help me push it into a safe place in order to prevent a collision or any possible accident. I also left a note explaining this, and that I had to run to my exam and would have it moved within the next two hours. My father then came and jump started it, but I had already received a ticket.
I appealed to POPLA informing them of this and they declined my appeal. Since then, I have moved down to Surrey for work, and I have just had by post transferred to me from my mums. DRP are saying that I have a week to pay £170 to prevent me from being taken to court.
I cant jeopordise my credit rating but cannot afford this fee!
Please help me?

    Welcome.

Unfortunately there are significant problems with your post.

Is your forum username your real name?
If so, it would be a good idea to get MSE to change that to something more anonymous.
Hit the 'report' button on your post and ask the MSE FORUM Team to help you with that.

If you haven't already appealed as the driver, edit your post to remove any clues as to the driver's identity.

DRP are saying nothing of the sort, you made it up

DRP cannot take anyone to court , so your claim above is false

they will recommend that their client do so

    read this thread

I would have thought that your further education would give you the skills to actually read and absorb what letters actually say

and you ability (or inability) to pay is irrelevant

Get a grip, please, DRP letters are there to be laughed at.

Which parking firm, is it F1rst Parking?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
