unfortunately the pipes run from the floor just to the sides of the radiators. when sizes went from imperial to metric they someone decided instead of making a radiator 1756mm they would make it 1800 or 1600.0

yes ic thats the ones.
myson make imperial ones i think its the HC range however at £211 each v £60-£85 I'm ready to accept a little playing about to get something to fit!0 -

Ah, okay, so we are talking 1756mm WIDE, not H as in post #1 - that makes sense.0 -
We had 2 like this, one we managed to get enough play in the pipes to go up to a 50mm wider rad, the other we added an extension tail to one side of the rad and dropped down 50mm. It does look a little like a bodge and was a nightmare to get to seal too but we had no choice as the pipes pop out the wall.0
