New computer

66 year old sister wanting to buy a computer. only wants to e-mail and type maybe browse internet (nothing major) any advice on best buy would be appreciated.:confused:

    standard advice is to have a look at some of the cheap Dells on dmxdimension, you can get a Vostro desktop with a 17" TFT monitor for £235.

    BTW if you're going for one of the cheaper ones where the OS choice is Vista Home Basic or XP Home and the RAM is 512Mb I would go with XP. Vista is only worth it if you get Home Premium and you will need at least 1 Gb RAM.
