IKEA Foam Mattress - no receipt

Options
Hi,

I've just bought a Morgedal foam mattress. I went for the medium-firm and it's pretty soft, to be honest.

Can I take it back without a receipt?

Has anyone got one of these and was the firm one a lot better?

Thanks!

:)

  • Why no receipt and do Ikea take back used mattresses, or is it still sealed in the wrapper?

Yes, Ikea allow you to return a used mattress for an exchange within 90 days from purchase provided that it's not damaged or marked.
However, they do state that a receipt is required.

Hmm, wonder what they do with 'em after being used for 3 months . . .

Edit: thought about it, sell to hotels or something, maybe.

Did you pay by credit card? Many good retailers / shops e.g. John Lewis will accept your statement in lieu of a receipt.

Thanks all. Yes, I've got a bank statement and it was the only thing I bought so I'll used that.

Did you swipe a family card? I often receive follow up emails asking me to complete a survey about what I bought, so they may have access to records showing what you bought too.

I don't have one of those cards. I don't normally bother with Ikea to be honest. :)
