Hi all,
I was very hopeful that these new protocols would be hard hitting and force the pond scum parking companies to play ball, but they seem to fall short of the mark.

So i am asking you learned people for your opinions, are they going to help?
My opinion- "we are dealing with companies that ignore the existing regs so a new set will not make a hapeth of difference, the threatograms will continue."

Cheers

Debt collecting "threatograms" will continue. They are a separate issue to the new pre-action-protocol for letters before a claim

If they don't comply then the claim won't progress very far

Insisting that an ADR can be used may be very useful to people that have ignored everything up to an LBC.

As said above, the threat-o-grams will continue and as
    usual they must be ignored

These threat-o-grams are before a claim and it's when it
comes to a claim that the hapless legals will have to do
a lot more work and provide a lot of proof for their claim.

As of today, bringing a claim and to comply with the new regs
is far more work intensive unlike it was yesterday.
Whether it will be financially viable to do this, we will see.

I think everyone here will carefully scrutinise if the new
regs have been complied with and when you consider some of
the witness statements that are so woeful, we can probably
    expect woeful claims

The threatograms will never go away, they are part of the scammers' business model.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
