Supply teacher

I am looking for some advice. Im a supply teacher with irregular working hours and my husband is newly self employed working away. I am looking to apply for tax credits (haven't done this for years due to earnings being over the threshold) but the system is far from straightforward. I don't have regular hours and my earnings for last year was very low. I was wondering whether it would be better to go to CAB as our situation is not straight forward. Any advice would be helpful.

First of all tax credits are based on age, number of hours worked, disabilities, children, and income based on last tax year (although this can be adjusted for less earnings the following year.) It would also have to be a joint claim.
So, it would be helpful if you could supply the information needed so someone can give you a rough estimate of whether you qualify or not.
Please give information for both of you including estimated income for this tax year.
