  • Afternoon, (((((((((( hugs))))))))))) if you need one. Into town this morning to do the shopping. Left OH in bed, Aldi, Morrison and Lidl, was back just before 12 noon. OH ok, he helped me put the stuff away.

Shattered now, planning on a rest on the day bed when I have done the veg for supper. Pork etc cooked on the Remoska, so just one tin and the steamer to wash up.

OH's headache seems to have settled to a dull roar, not spiking as they were, so fingers crossed things are settling a bit.

Glad hubby is feeling a little better Csarina. Hope it continues.

Had a really pleasant morning and afternoon. Not long got back but slightly shattered.

Ive decided i prefer the cleaning products from Lidl but the rest of the shopping from Aldi.. It now means walking round 2 supermarkets instead of 1, still, the stores arent that big.

I met my daughters friend for a coffee in the 'Spoons. Its been a good few years since i saw him last, he's been married (and divorced... yes to a man) recently. There was a lot to talk about.

Quiet afternoon in i think. Grump is messing with his cars and Youngest is in his room.

Its been a strange Sunday up to now.

    Afternoon everyone
Just having a quiet afternoon with my Sunday Times and looking for long sleeved tops on ebay. Cats are both curled up beside me. I've put the heating on as its chilly here today. Yesterday we had huge hailstones in the afternoon.....they were bouncing off the ground.
Had some good news last week - I had an interview for the job as cleaner at the pre school where I already work and was told straight away that I got it. A bit of extra money for just an hour or so added onto my day and it means I still have my weekends to myself. I had enough money - just - but nothing much left over for emergencies or the odd treat, so I feel happier now.
Booked train tickets to visit eldest DD in Leeds in October school holidays - return price started off at £68 but I managed to get it down to £44 return by doing split ticketing. Was a bit of a faff but it worked!

Lamb turned out very tasty though I'm not keen on the chickpeas. After six hours of cooking they were still hard as bullets.

I've done two big jobs, now got three more to crack though it won't be tonight! Just catching up with a couple of TV programmes whilst waiting for SCD results which are already all over internet but I'm not always convinced they're correct.

Got a text to say that the septic tank was emptied on Friday, if I said it was a relief would it be a pun??

csarina - small steps of good news for your OH and you!

Jackie O - My eldest DD put WhatsApp on my phone for me when she moved to Amsterdam and its brilliant for free calls and texts. Now shes back in the UK we still mainly use it as it saves her using her call/text allowance.

You can freecall through face b00k too if your wifi allows it (I know that not everybody has unlimited allowances). I haven't paid to speak to my sister in Ireland for a very long time :)
