I have a second job which I get paid between £10-£50 per month. I'm wanting to see up an account to save this in for a planned America trip in 3 years.

Welcome to the forums.
Which bank are you with? If you are a current account customer many now offer 5pc regular savers where you can save around £250 per month. They mature after 12 months but you can open another one and feed the money back in in the first couple of months alongside your regular contribution.
If your bank does not offer that consider switching to HSBC (£250pm), Nationwide (£250pm) or Santander (£200pm).
If you have saved enough money at the end of year 2 and it might take a while to a feedback into a regular saver it might be worth opening a Flex Direct account which pays 5pc on a balance of up to £2500 for the first 12 months.
For that amount and time period I would avoid stock investments or peer to peer lending.0 -
As Alexland says, although you could just open an additional account instead of switching, and there are also banks and building societies that do not require you to have their current account to use their regular savers.
There is a frequently updated list of Regular Saver accounts (and useful other accounts) in the first few posts of this thread, although £20-£50 is too low for many of them.Eco Miser
