Ok, taking on board Lynne's comments about making an all inclusive challenge that doesn't involve selling......

I quite like this - one of Martin's posts....something we can all do and shouldn't cost us the earth..... probably an email or the price of a stamp.

so before you all tell me, I don't have lost accounts, I have claimed all my bank/building society/savings accounts.....

Humour me. Give this a go. You can either download and print off the forms and post, or complete and send on line.......

I closed an old account I had with alliance And Leicester years ago and found £100+ last year, but reading this post reminds me I have some Premium Bonds from 30 odd years ago - not sure how many, between £20 and £40 I think - but hey worth seeing if I can reunite. I might even have won something ! :D

I just took the dog for a walk in the woods and got to thinking about some things I have sold. Mny of them were natural, and some just picked off the ground. But without restricting to that - how about everyone tries to think as they are walking about, with eyes open for an opportunity, find something, bring it home and sell it (Note if the "Something" is in a skip, it is wise to ask the person filling the skip first)

SO it could be a piece of wood of interesting shape, a bunch of feathers or a kiddies bike - Anything - provided it was free and you sold it.

THis will allow everybody to participate and lets see who can sell the most "odd" thing and who can make the most for free :)

I did this years ago and found a santander (formerly Abbey National) account I used to have and had forgotten all about... it only had a small amount in it, but hey it was lost money! I also found an account one of my sister's had forgotten about. We share the same initials and the bank sent the letter with just the initial. My dad told me it was for me.. it wasn't. It was for my sister.

Anyhow, let's all have a go and see what results if any we achieve!

Ok, I have just done this in my lunch break so watch this space

What a brilliant idea. I did my own version of this some years ago now. It was so good to get on top of things, I had little accounts that had never been closed and had very small amounts in them.

This is similar to checking out old pensions as well. There is a piece from MSE here: https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/news/protect/2014/05/do-you-have-a-lost-pension-get-hunting-one-moneysaver-found-39000

I'm waiting to hear how much I have in a pension from 1996. I've since found paperwork from 2010 that says it was worth £1240 then - fingers crossed it's an encouraging amount I can take out and it's a straightforward process.

And I have done this too. I worked for a large company from about 1986 to 1993 and I think there may have been a pension although I am not sure, so we will see

Went out for a walk and found some Rosehips and some big firm mushrooms which I had for lunch fried in real butter, with some bacon (Lidls cooking bacon £1.10 a kg ) - There's just nothing to beat the taste of wild mushrooms fried in butter - I'm claiming 50P for them - that's cheap :)

I'm on level 25, if that helps? what level are you on?

Level 9 and very close to 10 - so 18p per pulse. Usually I do get more than I have in the last few weeks.
