Car purchase advice required
Good evening,
Looking for some advice.
Haven't brought a car in years! So finding the whole experience quite overwhelming, that said think we have decided on the type, make, model that will suit us, questions are:
1 -To buy new or used (nearly new). Will be buying from a dealer,
2 -Do I go in for the "discount/deal" question? If so what is reasonable?
I don't want to be laughed out of the showroom.
Any general words of advice would be welcome.

You'll need to tell us what car you're thinking about so that we can determine if there are any deals available at the moment.0

Fair enough, thinking of a Kia Sportage. Please don't ask me any technical questions i understand their selling point is the 7 year warranty which is good0

Does 7yr warranty include 7 yrs servicing? If not you are committed to keep it serviced to their spec to maintain the warranty.I am not a cat (But my friend is)0 -
TBH not sure, have an appointment to test drive tomorrow. If I am honest we will more than likely be looking at a used nearly new & i understand the warranty carries over. The sales man did mention that they have a service team to let you know know of upcoming deals etc.0

Kia have different levels of trim, when I looked at a new ceed a while back it was 1-4 and I decided a 3 was essential (for me), so worth you downloading the brochure now to see what you fancy. If heated seats, leather, cruise control et al are important (typically optional items) then you'll need to know!0

I am currently driving a Sportage whilst my car is in for repair. The pointless audible warning tones and irritating tune when you switch the ignition off are driving me crazy."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi
