I'm not that techy, so apologies is a daft question...
Is it possible to purchase a tv-sized screen which is itself wi-fi enabled, but is *not* capable of receiving live broadcast signals; therefore meaning it's not a television.

Well, if this was possible, I'm presuming it would be possible to pick up the wi-fi signal from the home wi-fi box.
You can get TV's that have wifi but dont know of screens not able to get a tv broadcast.

Probably, have a look at screens intended for digital signage applications.
Likely to be more expensive than a mass-market telly though.A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.0 -
I was sort of thinking of around the standard tv size nowadays of around 40 inch.
But perhaps this is the sort of thing I would be looking for i.e. a gaming monitor.
I wonder if, though, it needs to be connected to a PC in order to function?0 -
Why not share what use you have in mind for it.0
