Car hit from front

Hi all, a few days ago I was stationery waiting for someone and a car had hit me from the front, my car is not damaged but I have now started pain in my neck and upper shoulder. I was on my phone so I was at an angle when the car hit me. The driver admitted liability, with the excuse that he had not seen me, he was driving a van. I have never been in this situation before and have no idea what to do.
Please do not think I am doing this for money, any advice would be grateful. I feel really guilty if I was to put it in a claim.

Speak to your doctor, and get them to refer you to physio.
You'll probably struggle to make a claim anyway, given there was no damage to your vehicle.0 -
Personally I don't think you need to do anything. A car hitting a stationary vehicle with no damage to the vehicle suggests any damage to you will be minor.
Can you still work?
Insurance is there to put people back in the financial position they were in before the incident. Do you need to pay for medical treatment?
I was hit in the back of my car while stationary and shunted through a barrier and over a deep curb. My seriously damaged car had to be towed away and was a right off. All I had to show for it was some shock and a few tears back at the office. I had the usual phone call from the insurance company (as far as I know), but I was honestly fine.
Unless you were hit at speed, which sounds doubtful, I don't suppose that you will get much help. Insurance companies are wary of whiplash claims for obvious reasons.0 -
I think it is normal to think like this after an accident.
I was hit from behind low speed no damage to car. A few days later my back hurt! I wasn't imagining the pain but started fearing that I would have back problems for life due to all the horror stories you read about low speed car accident injuries.
The pain went after a week and I haven't had any issues since.
If you are really worried I would report the incident to your insurance now just in case there is a need for a claim later, however by doing so you risk you premiums rising, only you know how you feel and what is best.0 -
Thank you all, yes it is a tricky situation to be in. The driver had said he was very tired and apologised heartedly.0

What has your doctor said?0

I have not been to the doctors, the pharmacist had said tenderness could occur and was given some heat rub.0
-
Well that sounds fine doesn't it? You can't really claim for something that is as minor as that and why would you.0
-
Why would you be 'at an angle' if you were using a hands-free phone??"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
