I can't get Chrome to work today (previously working for years)

Not sure what is going on; I have Google Chrome and it normally works fine. Today however, I just get an error message saying
"Your Connection Was Interrupted
A Network Change Was Detected"
and "ERR network changed".
I don't know what this means; AFAIK have not changed my network, not changed my ISP not changed my broadband supplier, I've not changed anything. I just went to bed as normal last night and it had been working perfectly up until that point.
This message appeared the first time on Sunday (today is Saturday) and for reasons I do not know, following a connection issue, Sky had turned on my "Broadband shield" (apparently works to protect the under 18s). They turned it off and suddenly everything worked.
But now it doesn't work again.
I've checked with Sky the shield thing isn't on again but it's not. They've also told me they've not made any changes to my account.
I've uninstalled/re-installed Chrome, it didn't help.
I've tried taking down all the ad blockers but this made no difference either.
I can use Internet Explorer but it runs with so many freezes and glitches, I would rather use Chrome if I can. Does anyone have any suggestions on things I can try to fix this?

EDIT!
Unable to delete my question but it seems to be resolved!
Just had a phone call from Sky after having spoken with someone earlier this morning. Apparently they had turned on my Broadband Shield for reasons unknown to me or the Sky assistant. (This morning I'd spoken to Sky and had been told it had not been turned back on again so I don't know why I had been told otherwise).
The Sky assistant called to tell me and ask if I wanted to turn it off again, they turned it from PG to Over 18s and suddenly everything works again!
I can't seem to delete my original question, but maybe if anyone has a similar experience and has some sort of an exclusion filter, try turning it to over 18's or similar to see if it helps.0
