Britain By Bike Competition – Additional T&Cs

1) The prize comprises:
a) Standard class return rail travel for four from the UK mainland station nearest to the prize winner’s home address to Darlington and return private transfers for four between the train station and the hotel, unless the winner’s home address in Northern Ireland, in which case, the prize will include return economy class flights and transfers to the hotel;
b) Three (3) nights’ accommodation for four at New York Public Library, Yorkshire on a self-catering basis (subject to availability);
c) Bike hire for four people for the duration of the stay;
d) Private chef on one evening to cook a three-course dinner for four. Includes 2 x bottles of wine to share; and
e) £500 spending money.
2) The prize winner must book their trip within 28 days of their congratulations e-mail from Element being sent and at least six weeks in advance of their preferred departure date or the prize may be forfeited.
3) The prize must be taken and completed by 30 September 2018. The trip cannot be taken over any UK Bank Holidays (29 May 2017, 28 August 2017, 7 & 28 May 2018, 27 August 2018), Christmas & New Year (19 December 2017 to 3 January 2018), Easter weekend (30 March to 2 April 2018), or during school summer holidays (17 July 2017 to 5 September 2017 & 16 July 2018 to 5 September 2018). The stay must be taken from Friday to Monday only. The prize and its components are subject to availability.
4) Should the prize winner prefer to drive themselves a mileage allowance up to the value of £200 will be offered and the rail allowance and taxi transfers will be forfeited. The allowance will be calculated at 45p per mile from the prize winners’ home address to the New York Public Library lodge.
5) Where the prize winner is under 18 years old, he/she must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over to check into the property. Please note that either the prize winner or their companion will need a current and valid credit card in order to check into the property for security deposit purposes.
6) The prize excludes transfers between the winner’s home and the train station/airport of departure, drinks, additional meals, excursions, attractions, spa treatments, gratuities, personal expenses, travel insurance and all other costs and arrangements not expressly included in the prize.
7) The prize and all its elements are subject to availability.
8) There is no cash alternative or refund for unused portions of the prize. The prize is non-transferrable.
9) Any amendments made by the prize winner after the booking is confirmed may be subject to administration charges levied by the specific supplier. Any such charges will be the responsibility of the prize winner.
10) A cheque for the spending money included in the prize will be issued in the prize winner’s name within 14 days of the holiday booking being confirmed.
