Ring and tell them how mad you are, I use tesco a lot and I have had all sorts of things refunded back.
It is definitely worth a go!!!

They certainly do, ring their Customer Services section and politely explain that your delivery was late and it was most inconvenient because of blah blah blah.......

    Good luck

i had a 7 - 9pm delivery slot and the grocery was delivered at 11:00 pm! i was not amused as i was working the next day and worse still my toddler woke up and wouldnt go back to sleep.
i called up cutomer services the next day and they did refund the delivery charges. hope this helps.

I'd try emailing them. I had a delivery 24hours late last week! They didn't automatically refund, I had to ask. Go to
    http://www.tesco.com/help/jump.asp?choiceA=1&choiceB=1 and fill in details.
If link doesnt work try logging in to tesco.com and go to 'help' page and then 'groceries' then click on the 'other problems with my deliveries ' question where you will find a link to 'Contact us form'. They are usually good with refunds on various things but you do need to ask and you do need to be polite!

I once emailed CS about a late delivery, but all I got was an email apologizing.

    Hi,
This might be a bit late but my mum had her meat delivered 1 day late on tuesday and they refunded her the £17.00 the same day without her even asking.
