VERY vague car finance enquiry

I had a success a fe wheats ago with HSBC PPI (but only did this when they contacted me). I recently had a think about other PPI I had and realised I had various car finance policies.

The problem is I have no details. I remember the car registration number for 2 of them but not 100% of who financed it, and I had a car with Ford Finance but can't remember the car reg. All were 6 years plus in the past.

Is it worth pursuing or is it too far in the past / not enough info. Any advice appreciated

Anything prior to 2005 is pre-regulation of general insurance sales, so car dealers won't even have to consider any complaint you might make.

Even if later, though, the fact that you have no documentation makes a successful complaint unlikely. They certainly won't be able to link a car number plate to any insurance you may have had.
