No got correct debit card yet

I applied for a Halifax current acount in july. When my debit/check guarantee card came through it was a 'moneyback' card. i had a letter with is saying this was due to a stock shortage in the current account cards and i would be getting the correct one in 4 weeks. That the moneyback card was just to tide me over.

Im still waiting

I haven't contacted them yet as i thought maybe there were just more delays. I don't really want to call them as i have had trouble in the past with another account when problems arrised.

Has anybody else had the correct card sent out? If so how long has did it take? I was the correct card for the cheque guarantee.

I might pop into the branch tomorrow if i have time (or today as is 2am lol)

  • I know there were major issues at that time because the suppliers factories were hit by the floods, and then there were issues with stocks

    if you pop into branch they can inform you if a knew one was dispatched, or order one on your request - will take a bit longer with the postal strikes at mo though

    It doesn't make a difference with the card you have though - its just the colour and name (on card only, not your account) - no other differences
