Won't give me a current account!

Should my circumstances change, I should feel free to apply again.

No outstanding debt (except mortgage - 125K, house valued £350-£400K).

I earn 30K.

OH earns 60K.

What's their problem?????

They quote a search on Experian - can't see any reason when I look.... maybe I should have more credit.

I actually think it's because we're paying off the mortgage over a relatively short period of time, and that makes it look like I'm overstretched because I've a 'low' salary wrt the monthly payments.

I really only wanted to open a regular savings account - after Halifax rejected me, I discovered West Bromwich Building Society's Magic 8, so they did me a favour.:D

The biggest plus side is that fraudsters shouldn't succeed either!!! :money:

your mortgage term has nothing to do with the current account application as the application.

Where do you bank at present?

With halifax's regular saver, you do not have to have your bank account with them anyhow
