CPPlus - any advice please.

First post - so hello.

I've had the usual notice from CPPlus regarding overstay parking at Roadchef Maidstone in July.
I read through many of the posts on here for info and advice and subsequently emailed the manager at Roadchef Maidstone adapting one of the specimen emails I found here expressing my disgust etc and including scans of receipts for money spent during the unplanned extended stay.
I heard nothing back from the said manager. So expecting the worse I went to the CPPlus website to pay the fee. First attempt at login resulted in a notice telling me there was no charge note for vehicle registration no with CPP notice ref (I've kept a screenshot). The following day I tried again and this time, using the same details successfully logged in to be shown balance owed to be £0.00 (again kept a screenshot). Result I though - the manager must have quashed the charge.
A month later, last week, received a follow up demand now inflated to £140 for late payment. Tried to log in - same note for no charge fo that vehicle (kept screenshot). Visited payment site last night - no CPPlus but advert for 'Build Your Own Website' - parkingchargepayment dot com (kept screenshot).
I can't appeal because their appeal page tells me I have already appealed.

I want to ignore it and hopefully turn up at court with all above screenshots as evidence but wonder if that might be risky.

Any advice would be welcome - thanks in avance.
