Worth changing supplier for £50

I am now at the end of my fixed 12 tariffs with Flow connect 10 October 2017.
Doing comparison on several sites shows I could save approx £50-60 a year. with another provider comparing it to a new 12 month fix with Flow.
Just wondering if anyone feels it is worthwhile changing.

Depends not upon the estimated £50 saving but the actual prices .Unit cost and Daily Standing Charge .

I guess it depends whether you are happy with the current customer service and whether you have heard of the new company (and their customer service rating)

The saving is based on the actual charge for the electricity and the day, night, and daily charges
I could save a little more by changing to a company like bulb but it is not a fixed tariffe. Also they are new to me also Economy Energy is slightly cheaper but there is a warning about on saying they are being investigated by Ofcom

i was with Scottish power, but switched to Bulb, and got £50 for just signing up with them, bulb were 2nd on the list of cheapest tariffs, no brainer for me, (even tho its on a variable tariff)


if it increases I,m free to switch (as they don't have exit fees) so its a win win situation. as I can just switch and prob get cashback from another switch

It is a question that you will get a variety of answers to, it depends what is important to you. It also depends on how long you want to stay with your new deal e.g. do you like just deciding once a year or have the ability to jump ship penalty free at any point.
The cheap energy club allows you to set savings alert, some people will jump ship at any saving and some won't unless the saving is significantly enough to warrant the effort.

If, as you say in the OP, you "Doing comparison on several sites", you should be aware of the cheapest options available to you

And what do you clarify as substantial? £50 - or more? As Bulb is a variable tariff, should the price go up would you only move away if the increase was substantial?

I have my setting in CEC set to £75 before it notifies me of cheaper tariffs since I don't want to be spend effort changing all the time.:p

Yes I had set my amount at £75 on the Martin Lewis Energy Club
I did look at Bulb again but as you know the switch can't.be done through the comparison When I look at Bulb again it does not show day and night rates I have economy 7 storage heaters (There is no gas as the flats are for over 55)
80% of my use is night rate so important that I have day and night rate otherwise my heating bill would be much higher
Will just stay where I am for this year
