Extractor Fan Upgrade?

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone has any tips for improving the extractor fan in my rented flat? It is in the bathroom which doesn't have an outside wall, so vents via the metal tube in the pics below. However, the bathroom is very very steamy, the tiles get mouldy and if you have two people showering the walls are literally streaming with water.

So, can anyone recommend a fan that I can buy to quickly upgrade this one? It doesn't continue to run when the light is off so I presume I should look out for that feature on any new one I buy?

Link to images here.

Thanks,

Kevin

The fan won't run on as no 3rd wire , a more powerful fan is a straight swap

Why are you upgrading/replacing the fan and not the landlord ?

    You can't upgrade/replace the landlord!!

On a serious note, as stated in post #2 you need a permanent live (third wire) in order for the fan to run on after you switch off the light. If you can persuade the landlord to install a permanent live then you need something like Xpelair CF20T which has a humidity sensor and will not switch off until the humidity has dropped below a pre-set (adjustable) level.
