Usually with these questions nobody knows for sure including the pro plumbers, as there are so many types. It's the handle and shroud combined I think.
So guessing, it might be one of several things.
-The whole thing just pulls off.
-The top bit levers off and there's a screw underneath.
-There's a small hole in the side of the handle somewhere that most likely takes a small allen key.
Don't use excessive force!
If it's the quarter turn type of tap then it takes a ceramic cartridge which may need replacing or they can sometimes be soaked in venegar to remove lime scale if that's the problem. (I've not tried it though.)0 -
Don't know for certain, but I'd expect the top chrome part above the three chrome rings to unscrew (anti-clockwise viewed from above) and reveal a screw securing the rest of the knob to the spindle of the tap.
As suggested above, my need de-scaling if lime scaled.0 -
as above, looks like the very top piece will lever off to reveal a screw?0

I'm with the others, either the very top part unscrews (anti-clockwise) to reveal the innards or the whole thing lifts off its splines.0

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated.
I'm sat having a few beers watching the football so will carefully try this with a flat screwdriver tomorrow .
Many thanks. The truth shall set you free.....................0
