If a prize breaks ...

Has anyone had any experience with winning a high value prize and then it breaking. For example, a TV, if you bought it from a shop and it broke, say within 6 months, you'd be able to take it back as you'd have a receipt. What happens to winnings?

I won a telly in 2008 that broke down within about 3 months.
DH got in touch with the company who we received it from, who got in touch with Sharp, who then sent an engineer to have a look at it.
They were very good, I think we got a new telly within about 5 days.
If you have a contact number/emither of who sent it, give them a call/message. But I'm assuming that if you have a serial no. and a date when you won/received it, I'm sure that the actual company will have all the warranty details on their system if you explain the situation and that you won it in a comp.
