Ppi on sears and m&s card

Hi
My wife had Sears and M&S store cards in the 80s.
She paid them off and closed them after a couple of years.
She is under the impression that she had PPI. I have managed to find out that Sears archived accounts are dealt with by Creation.
I have contacted Creation and M&S via email. Creation cannot locate any details and M&S have not replied.
I have been told to go to the underwriters which i think are St Andrews. I have emailed them but this has bounced back from Lloyds saying invalid email address.
I have no account details. Where do I go from here.
Thanks.

If they have no account records (hardly surprising as its 30 years since the accounts were closed) and you have no account records then its unlikely to go anywhere I'm afraid.0

PPI was a mid to late 80s creation but didnt go into heavy sales until the early 90s. Is she sure she had it?
Records are likely to be non-existent after all this time. Does she have any records hidden away somewhere?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Actually it was the 90s0

It doesn't matter who the underwriters are, they have no liability for the sale unless there was a direct relationship between them and the seller.
SARs will show you what's left, but it's a gamble. There may be nothing left.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
