Car key - spare for Vauxhall Zafira

In the process of buying a Vauxhall Zafira, but dealer says he only has one key (with remote locking) and says he wants £80 to provide a spare and programme the chip (not remote), and doesn't seem willing to budge on this. Local Vauxhall dealer (North Bristol) is quoting £120.

Is this the going rate? or are there any other cheaper options?

Contact the previous owner. They may have the original spare tucked away in a kitchen drawer...

I just paid £68 plus vat from a Vauxhall dealer so seems about right, key itself was roughly £55.

I'm not sure, but I think the price may change depending on if you have the keycode on the carpass document.

If you have the Key Pass card with the codes then you'll save yourself £15 as the dealer won't need to order it.

I think I paid about £60 for a Vauxhall key, I had the pass so that was £15 saved and the charge to code the key was £33ish. You have to present all the keys in your possession to code in the new key.
