looking for a new credit card

Looking for advice. I have been with John Lewis Partnership Card for so long, I can't remember (I think about 35years!). They have always been helpful. I pay my credit card off every month, I don't use it for loans.
Recently there have been 2 attempts at fraud on my card. They have been picked up promptly. However, my concern is that JLP policy is now to contact by mobile phone call, then text, and finally home phone.
I am retired, and I have no mobile phone signal at home, so I don't pick the messages up until I leave the area, which is usually not a good time to call them, and may not be for a few days. The first time, it took 3 days for me to be aware of them trying to contact me.
I have asked them on both occasions to make a note on my account to ring my home phone first, followed by my mobile if no reply. They refuse to do this unless I remove my mobile completely - which as I do sometimes go away for a few days, seems ridiculous!
I am reluctant to move my credit card, as the service is otherwise excellent, and of course, they have picked up the attempted fraud. I am also aware that most companies probably follow this procedure, so I might go to the effort of getting another one, then finding the same problem!
Any advice or shared experience would be helpful - thanks.

Forward your home number to your home number whilst you are there.0

Thank you! As you can guess, I'm not very au fait with mobiles - I don't get the chance to play around and try things out (once when sorting things out I was driving out to a hill nearby to see if I had reception!)
Will give it a try.0 -

If you permanently live abroad then no - having a verifiable UK address is usually one of the most basic acceptance criteria. Why would you want a UK-issued card anyway ?0
