Make sure you show report to first workman and dont pay a penny as he has put you and family in potentially harms way.
She's already paid £600, which is why, I assume, she can't afford to have the work corrected and finished.
If the work is considered unfit and dangerous, can you get your money back? Seems fair to me as you now have to get the work done!0
