Patchwork Quilt
Options
Hi
I have recently started sewing, Husband was watching me trying to sew clothes for our DG teddies and dolls
so when he was in Aldi he saw a Singer sewing machine an bought it for me
i was not expecting him to buy me one, not even spoken about getting one
was very kind of him to get me one.
I have been watching a lot of YouTube videos wow so many very talented people.
I am making a Patchwork quilt it is from all old clothes that i have
There will be mine my husbands my sons and granddaughters clothes
an the backing will be a sheet that was my Nains
Am still getting used to machine I"m sure it will take me for ever
Just wondering if anybody else did patchwork?

Have a look at Etsy - masses of patchworkers/stitchers on there with plenty of hints for novices.0

Snoopy 11, i have also started patchwork and am new to sewing. I made a quilt, and i am just trying to learn to do free motion quilting. I got a cheapish machine to learn on and am having great fun with it. how are you getting on with your quilt?0

I made a double bed quilt, 620 squares all sewn together by hand. I backed it with a cotton bed sheet, and used an old but clean blanket in the middle. Can't quite get the hang of free motion so I stitched in the ditch. Turned out really well.
