Santander Zero credit card

Seeking opinions.

I am considering taking a Santander Zero credit card so that I can use it abroad. I currently use a RBS Mastercard and I pay my account in full every month.

1. Would it make sense to take the Santander Zero card and preload this to avoid interest charges when withdrawing cash abroad?

2. Does anyone know of any disadvantages with this card?

No. It may get blocked or cancelled for breaking the t&cs.

Is that condition in the T&Cs?

  • Yes - credit cards shouldn't deliberately be put into a credit balance status.

The interest on a cash withdrawal is peanuts if you're clearing it in full each month. Or just make a faster payment shortly after the transaction, if times are hard.
