2 way dimmer switch?

I have 2 switches in my kitchen, one at either end so that either can switch the lights on and off - nothing unusual there.
My question is - can I replace both switches with dimmer switches?
ie - is there such thing as a 2 way dimmer switch?

Yes.
If you Google for "2 way dimmer switch" you'll get any number of results - here's just the first in the list :
https://www.screwfix.com/p/british-general-1-gang-2-way-400w-push-dimmer-switch-white/65335
You'll also be able to buy them in any DIY shed - B&Q, Homebase, wherever.0 -
Most(like that screwfix link)can be in a 2 way with other regular(2way and intermediate) switches but not with other dimmers on the same circuit.0

Ah ok - out of interest, what would happen if I try to replace both existing 2 way rocker switches with 2 way dimmers?
It's not a problem - I can live with just one dimmer but I'm curious!!0 -
it won't work.
If one is set low you can't turn it up from the other one.
depending on type there could be other unwanted effects like flickering
also not all dimmers work with LED.
There are remote options.
depends what/why you are dimming there may be other options.0 -
Retractive switches with a local dimmer pack can solve your problem. The long and the short of it is to speak to an Electrician.0
