Freezer, Second hand or New?

So my under the counter freezer packed it in a few weeks ago. We bought it second hand for £30 just under 2 years ago.
We are pretty tight on money at the moment, but i don't want to end up buying another second hand one and it only lasting a year on me again. What do you believe would be the best option? and if i was to buy a new one where would be the best place to go?

It's only luck. It could have lasted longer.
If you spend five times more on a cheap new one, you may or may not get five times the lifespan from it. I think fridges and freezers are the most likely items to last. I've never had either die on me (yet).
If money is tight, I'd go second hand again. Do check the make and model for recalls though!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Try asking for one from your local freecycle/freegle site, worth a go.0

It depends on how many bodies you're thinking abut stuffing in it I suppose?0

don't rule out fixing the one you have,
The main faults are cheap fixes, once you learn to diagnose them yourself.0
