Strange. The L&G MI site doesnt show class R. L&G used class R with their pre-RDR bundled retail funds. Yet this fund was launched after RDR. I dont recall seeing that class before. Must be a relatively new share class launch (or I just missed it by filtering out commission paying share classes).

The class F version does appear to be intermediary only. Class F is aimed at those wanting to buy it with no platform charge.

A bit cheeky if you ask me. Yes, you expect the cost of direct funds to be about 0.25% higher than the clean share class (such as the class F). However, this class R is going double that. I wonder if its a passive blocker. i.e. they price it to put people off but those that use it pay more for it.
