Countrywide Assured PPI Claim

Hi. I took out PPI with Countrywide Assured in 2002, on Money Saving Expert form it does not come up in the drop down menu. Can anyone advise how to make a claim with this website please, also has anyone had any success against them with mis-selling - I am self employed which I believe makes the policy void. Please help. Thank you. Simon

  • Send your complaint to them directly.

Being self employed doesn't usually make the policy void, so you may need to come up with a different mis sale reason.

Countrywide Assured is a life assurance company. I do not believe they retailed PPI. They publish their complaints stats on their website and there are no section on PPI and their insurance and pure protection section (which is life assurance and income protection) shows just a 15% uphold rate.

Most PPI does not exclude self employed. It is some types of loan and credit card PPI where it does. Standalone monthly premium plans rarely exclude self employed. Of course, this assumes you have PPI.
