UKCPS both IPC and BPA - which template for appeal

Hi
As the title states I have received a notice to keeper by UKCPS for apparently overstaying in a local free car park (well piece of land really as it doesn't even have marked bays!).
On the letter it states their both IPC and BPA members which template should I use for appealing?
I tried to search for the answer but the terms are very popular!
Thanks in advance
Sophie

Hi Sophie,
use the IPC one0 -
all you do is check the 2 trade body websites and see which AOS they belong to (not if they are corporate members of both)
you will find they are on the IPC AOS list, therefore use the IPC template , but dont expect them to cancel, you are just going through the motions0 -
The one whose logo is enclosed in a roundel, not the one enclosed in an oblong.
To save you looking - UKCPS is an IPC Approved Operator with access to the DVLA database to acquire keeper details. They have a corporate/club type membership of the BPA where they will get updates about general parking issues, proposed/likely Govt parking policies and a probable invite to their annual bun fight of a conference.
Use the template for IPC operators. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

PPCs can be corporate members of both organisations, but only a member of the Approved Operator Scheme of one (and it is bound by that one's CoP).
The oblong logo represents corporate membership. Corporate membership allows them access to newsletters, seminars etc. It's meaningless for you because it doesn't impose any obligations on them - they display the logo to make themselves look more official.
The round logo represents membership of the AOS.
There can therefore be only be one round logo and that's the one that's relevant for you as the recipient of a PCN.
Sometimes PPCs change from membership of one AOS to another (usually from BPA to IPC which avoids POPLA and imposes the kangaroo-court IAS instead). They are given a grace period of 2/3 months to change the round logo. But they often don't bother complying with this.
Each organisation has a current list of its AOS members on its website. In the case of any confusion, BPA is very quick to respond to email enquiries (don't know about IPC).Although a practising Solicitor, my posts here are NOT legal advice, but are personal opinion based on limited facts provided anonymously by forum users.
