  • A relative on my side went to the meadowhall branch recently. They wanted a pendant engraved as a 40th birthday gift for a close friend. It was a sterling silver item and they only wanted small block capitals engraved on the reverse. The assistant refused to do it saying it was dodgy??. They only requested 3 small block capital letters which are the initials of the recipient and the number 40 next to them. Assistant also said he would have to hand engrave and it would cost more than the pendant was worth, which is rubbish. They complained to the head office but haven't received a reply.

My wife swears by them to re-heel her shoes.

I went in the other day to get some passport pictures....man said the machine was not working. I though he was lying but who knows. So popped in Tesco's, £15 later and less than 5 minutes plus pictures are put put on a memory stick.

My wife said this made renewing passport really fast and simple. The website will even tell you if the pictures fail............less than a week later. New passport turns up. Happy days.
  • ...so all you're looking for is random people on a forum to agree with you?

I agree with you, I think it's disgusting and that the CEO should give you his first born and a yacht.

Seriously though, what's the point in having random strangers on a forum agree with you? I think the issues lie closer to home than with Timpsons... :money:

mrbobuk would have been great at the school's debating society, or perhaps in court.

After the other side has put forward its case, they just stand up and say 'I simply don't agree with your comments. Simple as that.'

I wish I'd thought of it.
