We are in the Midlands, and looking to move house. After comparing sale prices from a year ago, they seem to have increased by about 25%. Is this happening all over the country?

It wasflat in the Midlands for an awfully long time. Easily for over a decade but prices have definitely been rising and everything near us seems to be sold very quickly.
A friend is buying and was got caught in bidding wars on more than one occassion.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Rising near good schools and town centres in central Scotland, but only a little. Driven by very high demand.0

Dipping around here. Property on the whole isn't selling as quickly.0

Horrific here near Littlehampton in West Sussex. The bottom end of the market has gone up from 175 to 225 in about 18 months. The places nobody wanted to live are all the rage as people fight to get onto the ladder. Higher about FTB land tho, things are not as pretty and what you get for 500k seems a mammoth more than 225 etc etc xDebt free and plan on staying that way!!!!0

Things pretty flat here in Bristol over the 9-12 months, wondering now what effect a rise in interest rates will do over the next 6 months0

It's flattened out here in London because we had the big hike in prices 3 years ago, and in my bit of south east London it was more like 30%.0

Prices have risen here in South Wales. Sold mine last year for £124,000 and now similar houses are going for £140,0000
