Bought Online, Have to Return In Store?

Options
Hi,

I bought a phone online from Vodafone over 6 months ago but they are asking me to return it in store so they can diagnose.

Are they allowed to make me do this seeing as I bought it online initially?
Travelling is difficult for me at the moment.

Thanks,

tom,

Technically yes as it's over 6 months so they can, if they insist put the onus on you to prove a fault exists before they do anything.

Call them up and speak to someone regarding your travelling problems, they will then most likely send a return slip.

You ask if they are allowed to do this as if it's unreasonable. I'm just curious but out of interest what were you actually expecting them to do?

To be able to post it back to them, as its the same method I bought it under.
If someone was completely housebound then they would be unfairly discriminated owing to having no means of visiting a store, so I wouldn't say its completely reasonable no.
As it is I'm going to be out a good amount of time and travelling costs when I can eventually get down there.

I’m curious to note do you actually have any constructive comments of your own or are you satisfied with trolling people’s comments on forums with your supercilious and unhelpful questions?
