Brilliant news about the shed.
Think of me helping my dad put one up this week for one of my tenants. I am wishing I had paid for someone else to do it now! But am thinking the money I save will pay for plants for my gardenTotal weight lost 6.5/73lbs starting yet again. Afds August 10/15. /8 Sept.0 -
How lovely to have your shed up and already proving useful.
Hope you enjoyed your takeaway, especially as it was what one might call a 'normal' treat, that is absolutely impossible if you're struggling with every penny. I expect it was extra nice because of that !0 -
Great news about the shed :T :T
Thanks Jwil.

Thanks Arsenalbarnie. Maybe you'll do it quicker than us :rotfl:.

Thanks Elizabeth. A takeway is a lovely treat but I don't think I'll ever think it's normal, it still feels very extravagant, but it is nice not to have to count every single penny, plus DH loves them and it is nice not to cook when you're very tired

When I came down to the kitchen this morning I thought 'What a lovely shed'
.
Before work today I helped DH compose an email to the Soon To Be Ex Customer detailing the reasons why he thought they should probably stop working together. No reply as yet. I just hope he pays the invoice!
Work was good, dry but a tad chilly. I forgot my gloves again. I wish I could have stayed a bit longer today as it felt too soon to come home, so I must have enjoyed being there.
This afternoon I think I should probably start on my new assignment for college so that I get a head start on it. My new topic is equality and diversity and happily for me it's a shorter topic than safeguarding, so it should be easier to complete.

Happy new shed
Good luck with the assignment.
Had to laugh, our placement student on site has just realised as part of one of his assignments he was meant to do a 'site diary' for the year....he hasn't done one and that part is due in soon :rotfl:0 -

I didn't start my assignment in the end as my computer decided to do a disk check which took ages and by then I felt too tired . Also DH has decided to take the afteroon off after his shed endeavours so I thought I'd join him
.
However I did do three PA surveys and earnt £4.50 :T. I've got £2.21 and £5 pending now. I've decided that I really do have enough clothes now (I never thought I'd say that) so I'm going to put any survey money I earn into my Tesco Saver account and get it as high as possible.
I think my new obsession is going to be saving money! Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

That's not a bad obsession to have!
Glad the shed is up and it is making itself useful.
Love that you had a takeaway as well. I am so happy that you are able to enjoy something like that.
You have enough clothes?? ha ha, I don't think I will ever say that (shoes are my thing though!) I am on a scrimp and save too so have only bought necessary clothes recently. I can't wait to go out shopping again and just buy what I want! When I can, I probably wont want too though! xSeptember 2017 Debt = £25330
Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x0 -

Thanks Nicnak. I hope you can afford to buy some shoes soon
.
I think it could be the best obsession I ever have. I've done another PA survey so I have £5.21 and £3.30 pending
.
I have bought a fair amount of clothes recently as I had my birthday and treated myself to some with the tax rebate and PPI.

I've been thinking about Christmas  and I've never ever saved up for it before
so I've decided that any month that I'm not desperate to buy something, I will put my £30 treat fund into a new Christmas savings account I'm going to set up when I next get paid.
So out of my £180 wages I'm going to buy £50 of Premium Bonds, put £30 into a Christmas savings account and hopefully put the other £100 into my Tesco Saver account which is my EF :T.
The weekly coffee and second hand book I buy on my Saturday ramble can come out of our normal budget, like it used to before I had a job.
That way all of my wages will be for savings which feels like a great use of it, because I feel really motivated to save for our future at the moment. The survey money I earn can also go into my Tesco EF account.
It's going to be really exciting seeing my savings grow :j. (I say my but obviously it''s for the benefit DH and the DC too). I wish I was good with spreadsheets or I'd do saving spreadsheets to gloat over :rotfl:. I'm turning into Scrooge :rotfl:.Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally
