So glad Friday is sorted for you HHOD.

Really hope BIL is recovering well xx

  • Thanks Nicnak and MTG.

The fridge and freezer are virtually empty so I had to cobble a meal together from a weird selection of leftovers :D. Luckily it's food shop day tomorrow.

I'm not sure if DS2 is coming to visit BIL with us (he's thinking it over) and DS3 is now saying it depends upon college deadlines. So I'm not sure how much food to buy tomorrow. I'll probably get the same amounts of frozen and dried goods, but cut back a bit on the fresh stuff.

Am sure you and Mr HHOD will be ok at brothers , at least Friday is sorted . They sound like very generous people. I am sure if you had prior notice that you would be travelling you would have. budgeted for it and all spends needed. This is where a EF comes in handy , so maybe that should be your first debt free goal. I think you did mention this before though.

Hope BIL is starting his recovery and you have news soon.

  • Thanks Cumbria. Yes an emergency fund is our top priority at the moment, followed by a loss of income fund. It will take time to build them up but I am very determined :)

  • We kept waking up feeling cold in the night and low and behold there was frost on the windows this morning . So I'll need to put the winter duvet on our bed today. I must ask the DC if they were cold last night.

Today is my big Mr T shop with my usual budget of £74. I want to buy some bottles of drink and snacks for the journey (to avoid buying anything en route), but as at least three of us are going to be away for three nights soon, we should need a bit less of everything else. It's going to be hard to get that balance right :o.

We've also got to try and get ahead with work for customers before we go away. Plus I've been so busy washing towels and bath mats that we're running out of clean clothes , so much laundry will need doing today.

DS2 has decided to clear out his pig sty, I mean room, and twenty full black bin liners have appeared outside the back door :mad:. They'll have to go to the tip but we won't have time until we get back. I hope they don't attract rodents in the meantime :(.

Have a lovely Wednesday everyone :).
